SW 92nd Avenue Roadway Improvements
Milling and resurfacing, green bike lanes, crosswalks and new striping along a neighborhood collector.
View projectWe have built roadway, drainage and sidewalk projects for the Village of Palmetto Bay, so we know its streets, its standards and its inspectors.
For the Village we resurfaced SW 92nd Avenue with green bike lanes and new striping, built drainage structures, sidewalk, ADA ramps and paving on SW 148th Street, and have performed work under the Village sidewalk program. For residents, the same crews build driveways, aprons, sidewalk replacements and yard drainage.
Palmetto Bay is mostly single-family neighborhoods with large lots, mature tree canopy and swales along the streets. Tree roots and swale grading are the two things that decide whether a driveway or sidewalk lasts.

Driveway aprons, sidewalks and other right-of-way work in Palmetto Bay are permitted through the Village. The swale in front of most homes is part of the drainage system, so a driveway or apron has to be built so it does not block it.
Much of Palmetto Bay drains through swales and on-site percolation rather than street storm sewers. When a yard floods, the fix is often restoring the swale grade or adding an exfiltration trench rather than a bigger pipe.

Yes. We replace the panels and, where appropriate, coordinate root pruning or a root barrier so it does not happen again.
