Asphalt fails from the bottom up. A parking lot that alligators in three years was almost always paved over a soft base, an unaddressed drainage problem, or a mix that cooled before it was rolled. We own the equipment and employ the crew, so we control the base prep, the delivery timing and the compaction, and we stand behind the result.
Jonathan Pimentel has more than 20 years in the industry as a quality control manager, estimator and project manager on FDOT and Miami-Dade County roadway projects, and is an FDOT-certified Asphalt Paving Level 2 Technician and Quality Control Manager. The same density, temperature and smoothness requirements we meet for a county inspector are the ones we hold ourselves to on a church parking lot or a residential driveway.
Because we also self-perform drainage, concrete and utility work, we can fix the reason the pavement failed, not just the pavement. If the lot is holding water, we regrade it or add a drain before we pave. If a curb is broken, our concrete crew replaces it the same week.
