City of Miami Sidewalk Improvements
Sidewalk, curb and ADA ramp improvements at City of Miami locations: old sidewalk removed, base prepared, new concrete poured and finished by our own crew.
Before and after

These City of Miami sidewalk improvements, performed by Pimentel as a subcontractor to H&J Asphalt, covered busy commercial corridors and neighborhood corners: old sidewalk removed, the base graded and compacted, new concrete sidewalk poured and finished, and the curb, ramps and drainage tied back in.
On the corridor work, the photos follow a single pour from start to finish: base prepared against the existing curb and inlet, concrete placed straight from the truck chute, struck off and bull-floated, then broom-finished and protected while it cured. The finished walk sits flush with the inlets, valve boxes and signal foundations along the curb line.
At the neighborhood corners, the new walks bend around mature trees with curved curbs that protect the roots and the tree wells, and each crossing gets an ADA curb ramp with a detectable warning surface. Inspectors check those ramp slopes with a level, which is why we build every one to measure.
