Asphalt Patching, Hollywood Beach
Asphalt patch repairs near Hollywood Beach, Florida, as the asphalt subcontractor to National Traffic Solutions: failed pavement at curb inlets milled out and replaced with hot mix.
Before and after

The pavement beside several curb inlets on this Hollywood Beach street had failed: cracking, ponding water, and old patches that had broken down. Each repair area was laid out and marked at about 6 by 20 feet so the patch would extend past the damage onto sound pavement.
Our crew milled out each area to a clean, square edge, applied tack coat, placed hot-mix asphalt and compacted it with a tandem roller, working under lane closures with traffic moving alongside. The finished patches are flush with the surrounding road and the bike lane striping.
Square, milled edges and full compaction are what keep a patch from failing again at the seams, the same way we restore utility cuts for the county.
